Fluff Talk Thursdays – My Stash!

August 25, 2009 cloth diapering

Yay! Another edition of Fluff Talk Thursdays brought to you by HappilyDomestic. These are so much fun :)
Well, I didn’t think I would ever arrive, but I am finally content with my stash! There are still maybe one or two diapers I see online that I wish I could try, but I have every kind of diaper I need and even a few I merely “wanted.”

In April I was cloth diapering two children, but Lizzie is officially potty trained! She still wears a dipe to bed at night, but David gets all this fluff to himself!
The most expensive dipes in my stash. These are the Goodmamas. The spider dipe is a BubuBebe. The Goodmamas are $35 each and the BubuBebe is $28. They are one size fitted diapers. I love how absorbent they are! David goes coverless and it helps his bum have some awesome air time.

I have 2 Sposoeasy All in One diapers, but one was in the wash! I wish this was a one size diaper cause it works so well and will be so sad to retire it soon. It is aplix (yay for Josh!) and entirely cotton. I am not a fan of microfiber so this is awesome.

Josh’s fav fitteds. The top two are Thirsties Fab Fitteds and the bottom is my only Mutt dipe. I’m not a fan of TFF aplix, but Josh loves em. I wish I had more money to get more Mutts! It fits super well and looks adorable.

I thought I had this pic turned! oh well..LOL My wool! All of the soakers I got off FSOT from Diaperswappers. The green and black longies are my fav!! A super sweet mama named Raelynn from Canada knit them up for me – we had a gift exchange on our due in april board. They fit David now with tons of wiggle room, so I know they will fit this summer.
The longies next to it I made out of sleeves from wool sweater I bought from Salvation Army. I love that they work great and were cheap to make!
My two Flurries of Cloth fitted diapers. One of my midwives sews cloth diapers and sells them very inexpensively. They fit wonderfully! I want more money so I can give her more business :)
The night time diapers. The top one is David’s and the bottom one is Lizzie’s. I got these Very Baby Simply Nights from Blue Lake Diapers. They are FANTASTIC! I don’t even need a cover with them. But if I put a Goodmama on, even with more doublers, the dipe will soak the bed. So these are amazing…I want more of them :)

I actually have 5 Bum Genius 3.0 pockets, but 2 were in the wash! These are the nursery/husband/grandma/ etc dipes. I don’t like them a ton because they are microfiber and I hate stuffing/unstuffing pockets….but they are great for drying time and anyone can use them.

Ahh, my prefolds! LOVE them! I embellished them myself when I was “nesting”. No complaints with them and I actually prefer pinning…they are so great.

As a baby gift a friend of mine said she would take all my material and sew up cloth diapers. I was going to do it but couldn’t find the time! Hooray for Maggie! These are not very absorbent, but work great. They catch the pee and are super soft flannel.

My Tinkle Trap Prefitteds. I highly recommend them! They are way faster to put on than a prefold and with the elastic in the legs you are guaranteed a tight fit!

And my super soft, oh so amazing organic bamboo velour/bamboo terry prefolds. I have 5 Swellbaby PFs and the Mr. Bubbles in the middle is from Zabibaby. Two of the Swellbaby dipes were customs I had done when I was pregnant. They are SO absorbent they even rival my Goodmamas – and I love the stretch they have. I can pin them with just one pin :)

Oh, and I forgot to say…cute baby! What chunkie thighs! My baby is so skinny you can see his ribs! He's taking after his daddy. ;-)

    You have a large stash!
I think I just learned alot about the different types of fitteds and prefolds out there. I only have some prefolds, but they were never thick enough that I could do without a cover.

So are your covers the ones in the picture with your wool? I've been wanting to try some wool. Great idea about using a sweater! I guess I should have saved that wool sweater of my husbands that I accidentally washed a couple of years ago because the sleeves would have been the perfect size for longies :-)
