Aloha Friday – Joint or Separate?
Welcome to the weekend! Aloha my friends and thank you Kailani at An Island’s Life for hosing this meme. Ask a simple question, give a simple answer, and hop around doing the same. Link your question up at her blog and join in the fun!
My Question:
Do you prefer a blogs to be separate for reviews and giveaways or do you mind a personal blog having those on there?
My Answer:
I am actually asking for me! I am starting to accept more items to review and give away to save my family money on gift giving. My family already understands that if an item was opened it will still be like new when they get it and they should just stay off my blog or it will ruin the surprise!
Seriously though, when I start doing more reviews and giveaways I want to know if I should move all that stuff over to a new blog if it bugs people – like do you think that will distract from my personal posts? (Which I will continue. That is who I am. I am a writer, the product chat is just to help the family) Or is it kinda a bonus, that as you are reading my content you might enter a giveaway or 2? hmmm……

I would say do what you want to do! I started a review and giveaway blog with the blog I already had! I think it’s fun to mix things up and write personal posts along with reviews and giveaways! It let’s your readers know more about you! Have a great Friday! I need to go post my Aloha Friday!
I personally enjoy when a giveaway blog is added with personal posts that’s why I choose to keep mine that way too. best of both worlds I say
That’s what I do as well. Having so many separate blogs is just too time consuming for me.
Do whatever is easier for you and it works with your time schedule and everything! Generally i like blogs that have their giveaways on a separate page with a button leading to it.. not a new blog of itself.. but a separate page in blogger or whatever host you have:)
Aloha!:)
I do not think it matters, However sometime I visit blog that way to much for one day post.
I prefer separate blogs. that way if a want to enter a give away I can go to that blog. A mention on a personal blog is a great way to promote it.
Here’s my Aloha Friday link for you
It’s a personal thing. I have 2 blogs.

Like others have said it is definitely a personal preference. I like when there is a mix. I do this myself because it is the easiest way to do it. I was going to set up a review/giveaway section, but it was just not worth it to me. My life includes everything and I did not want to deal with two sections. I ditched the ad network that was holding me back and the rest is history.
No, I don’t mind at all if they’re mixed as long as there’s some form of organization like categories and tags.
Keep them together! That way I don’t have to follow as many blogs:)
I like seeing them together. That way when I actually have time to look at blogs I can multi-task.
I kind of prefer that they be joint. I never read strictly review blogs – they sort of bore me. But if the authors of my favorite blogs write a few reviews I like that.
JOINT… you need to find yourself!
I like the mix.
I like a joint blog. I never seem to get over to follow the new product review blog and I never mind scrolling through a review that doesn’t interest me to get to the personal posts.
Do what’s easier and best for you, but personally I prefer a joint blog.
together is fine with me!!Aloha
Mine is joint and I plan to keep it that way. I have a separate blog for my daughter Violet that is only about her. But I love to see a bit of personal posting on a blog mixed in with reviews and giveaways. It helps me to get to “know” the blogger!
I prefer a bit of both
Stopping by to let you know that there is an award for you at my blog!

I love everything mixed in! Seriously, I think those are the best kind of blogs
Have a wonderful weekend!
Like PP I love a little bit of everything mixed in. Its nice to come to your blog and read whatever you write that day. Personally, I think having two blogs would get complicated.
