Cryo-Cell giving to the children of Haiti

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

Cryo-cell, a company through whom you can bank your newborn’s cord blood, is donating $25 from each enrollment to the “Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund.”  They are the only chord blood bank giving to this very worthy cause.

Have you heard of cord blood banking? What about stem cell research? I admit when I was pregnant with Lizzie over two years ago I kept hearing people talk about it but never really did any personal research, but after learning more about it I have found some very interesting things.

When you bank your baby’s cord blood you are preserving the blood from the umbilical cord and placenta. This blood is super rich in stem cells, hence the importance of this blood.

What are stem cells? They are the single most important cells in the body – they are the cells that create other types of cells.  Think of them as the head honcho cells.

The stored blood is a perfect match for them for their entire life.  And if your little one ever (God forbid) needs chemotherapy or radiation,  then the chemo or radiation might run their immune system way down.   Using the preserved cord blood could (while not appropriate for every disease) boost and repopulate their blood and immune system.  It will be there if you ever need it.

Don’t take my word for it – learn more about cord blood banking and the benefits it can have for your child! Then, after you research it you can enroll now to begin saving the blood that could provide priceless benefits for your child!

And the generous folks at Cryo-cell, knowing how important a child’s life is, has agreed to give $25 to the “Save the Children : Haiti Relief Fund.”
