Mother Ease Cloth Diapers Simply Sweet {Review and Giveaway}

When I cloth diaper David, I like things simple.  Natural fibers are my preference and that is why I asked Josh if we could review the Mother Ease line of cloth diapers.  They make all in ones, but I wanted to show how Daddy friendly a fitted and cover could be, since I like them so much!  And you know what? He still prefers an all in one or pocket.  Go figure.  But he did say that since these have snaps he would still use them.

Since these were my request for the event, I will tell you why I love them so much! Then you can watch the video of Josh changing the diaper and giving his opinions later.

This is why I love Mother Ease: they are simple, natural, affordable, basic, easy, dependable.  A Mother Ease cloth diaper will look newer much longer than a printed diaper. The simplicity and basic colors create a blank slate for any creative mom to create art work.  I have seen some beautifully dyed dipes – they have some vibrant ones for sale on their site – but other moms have tye dyed and they turn out wonderful!  I believe that natural fibers wash easier and better than synthetics – and Mother Ease is made of either cotton or bamboo terry.  Yes, they do offer a polyester fabric as a stay dry option, but you can choose not to buy that if you want.

These diapers are affordable too!  This is a total plus for me – I can build my stash  for a lot less money if I go with these.  The sized Sandy’s range in price (depending on choice of fabric) from $11.75-14.25.  And the One Size dipes range from $11.95-14.75.  The All in Ones are $15.95-17.95!  These are some of the lowest priced AIO’s on the market.

Mother Ease is also known for their Air Flow snap covers.  Snaps – oh joy!  These are side snapping, making it more difficult for the baby to take off on his/her own.  And the snaps are spaced out far enough apart allowing for air to ventilate. They come in solid colors or adorable safari prints.

How do they fit and work for David? As you can tell on the video, Josh’s first impression was that the large Sandys was too loose on David.  I inspected it and discovered it wasn’t too loose, it just wasn’t too tight, and that threw my husband off a bit.  We are so used to diapers that give David red marks on his little thighs, but these are snug but not too tight.  The AirFlow cover keeps it all in – nothing leaks out of them.  Um….well almost nothing.  We did have a hugely explosive poo from David being sick that squirted a bit out of the top.  And according to their website the Sandys can absorb 15 ounces of liquid!  I’ll trust them on that and just be amazed.  For now, it hasn’t leaked and works very well.
