Busy Mom’s Study Bible with 5 minute devotions
My poor Bible has seen its fair share of bad weather. I wish I could say it got this worn from over use, but I am far from guilty of that. Josh simply left this on top of the car during a rainstorm and Genesis was never the same again.
I have other Bibles in the house and used them instead, but I just love the study notes in this one. Sure it was a bit big for me to take to church with my diaper bag and stuff, but I loved this Bible! I just really wished I dedicated more time to reading it. I used to be so good about reading my Bible, back in high school. You know, before I had friends. Before I had kids. Before the blog. Before life got insanely busy – I sure had time for God then! Now all of a sudden, I just don’t give God 5 measly minutes. He gave me his Son, and I can’t wake up 10 minutes earlier in the morning to say “Hi, thank you for all your blessings. What do you want me to do for you today?”
Zondervan just released a new Bible that is helping me to do exactly that. I have no excuses now and I love it! This is called the Busy Mom’s Bible, and I love the adorable pink and read leather cover!
And it is thin enough to fit in my purse and my diaper bag. I can take it with me everywhere I go, hooray! Actually, the best thing about it’s size ( 9.2 x 6.2 x 1.2 inches) is that I can pick it up and carry it around the house with me. Usually I’ll nestle with David on the couch while Lizzie watches Sesemee Street and then pick up my Bible and peruse a verse or two. This helps rearrange my attitude and gives me God’s word to meditate on the rest of the day.
I also love this particular feature:
It has devotions within the Bible that are divided into timed segemtents. I can do a 1 minute devotion and tend to my children or go more into depth with the 10 minute one! In the back of the Bible there are tiny little devotions split up by subject matter or length of time too. I love the “5 minutes about the names of God” myself. Who knew you could learn so much in such a short amount of time? While I still relish those rare Bible Studies with my Lord where I go deep with him and spend half an hour reading and praying – it is also really nice to be able to quickly focus your mind on Heavenly things instead of the stress and anxieties surrounding you.
I was given a Busy Mom’s Bible from Zondervan for the purpose of this review. All opinions are mine.

How cool is that? Keeley eats any book we leave down, and I’m sorry to say that I bet with our move that our bibles are packed somewhere and it will take some time to find them once we do move, and here I was thinking the other day I wanted to peruse mine again. Sigh. oh well. We’ve missed church 2 or 3 weeks in a row and I really feel I need that time to connect, so hopefully we can get back on track. We do pray before our evening meal and I certainly pray with a toddler in the house, very often! Mostly for patience!
That’s so cool. I’m definitely going to grab me one of those.
That is really neat!!! I need one! lol I’ve really enjoyed looking at your blog and I’m now following you on twitter
Have a blessed day!
