The Chicago Baby & Toddler Expo is July 31st & Aug 1st!

That is only 2.5 weeks from today – are you getting as excited as I am?

I live about 12 hours from Chicago, but I know there are a bunch of you that live closer – and I have 6 tickets to give away!

Before I get to the fabulous giveaway, let me give you a better idea of what this huge event is going to be like. Cause after  you hear more about it, I know you are going to want to go as badly as I do.

Connect with Companies!

Bloggers – More than 125 companies will be there displaying their latest products. What a way to get the latest news on the hottest products on the market. Plus, with all those exhibitors there it is a wonderful time for meeting them face to face and having some networking time.  They will have free wireless access for you to tweet/facebook/blog live from the expo!

Parents – with over 125 exhibitors you can see all the fresh new products that are going to hit the market from your favorite brands. You can see and touch baby carriers, strollers, baby gear and more. Plus, there will be lots of chances to win free things from participating companies.  And get there early – the first 50 moms in the door will get a Bebe Swag Bag overflowing with more than $500 in products and goodies!

Have a Blast!

There will be lots of family-friendly competitions with chances to win big prizes! In the photo above is one of the favorite competitions – the diaper derby where the fastest crawler wins.

DADS - There will be a challenging Daddyothon obstacle course. Dads will compete and show off their diaper changing skills as well as race through the course pushing a stroller and accomplish other baby-related challenges along the way. The first across the finish line will win a Britax stroller and “man bag” from O Yikes! Active Gear.

There is also going to be a Mommy Pampering Lounge, Daddy Tailgate Lounge, and licensed caregiveers will be on hand to give parents a break to relax.

Little girls will love escaping to a magical castle for the Princess Tea Party. And boys can go dress up as pirates at the Boy’s Pirate Party. These two events will be held on Sat. July 31st and 1:00pm and 2:30pm respectively. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing missy@indybabyexpo.com Space is limited.

Toddler activities: Coach Pickel’s and Jelly Bean Sports and the Oaklee’s Guide activity areas will be a perfect place for toddler to run, jump and get all their energy out. Special guest Boca Beth will  be there to play games with them that teach Spanish basics and she will be available to help parents learn how to raise bi-lingual children. There will be live music for the kids to enjoy from Mr. Singer & The Sharp Cookies and the kid-friendly acoustic rock of Laura Doherty.

Rock Out!

There will be a main stage at the expo for live music. Attendees can rock out to the sounds of three mom musicians that play everything from AC/DC to Metallica. Guitarist Linda Robertson will play the classics. Roots rocker Anna Fermin will belt out the same tunes she sang alongside legends Johnny Cash and Paula Cole. Then Alt-country performer Cari Ray will wow audiences with original numbers on her six string.

Price: General Admission is $7 online/ $10 at the door. Grandparents are $5 and children 5 and under are free!
