Ever since I started my blog in August 2009, I have experienced a lot of amazing blessings. No, my blog did not literally turn to gold. I am hardly raking in piles of change either. But if you count the friendships I’ve made, the trips I’ve taken and the people I have worked with, then yes, I am rich!
I think my favorite experience so far is when I met with Kansas Pork Association. They sponsored me to BlogHer 2011 in San Diego. That was my favorite trip I have taken so far (next to my honeymoon). The opportunities they have given me and their belief in my abilities is encouraging and strengthening. How I met them is actually the “moment of pure luck.”
Jodi is their PR rep. She is fabulous! I was tweeting with her and realized her office is located in my hometown. This prompted me to ask to meet her. From then on we kept talking about ways to work together and it has just blossomed and grown.
