On Tuesday, May 15th, I flew down to Atlanta to hang out with Coca-Cola and this fabulous group of bloggers at the Conversations with Coca-Cola blog conference. To say it was a blast would be a massive understatement. It was the highlight of my blogging career. I spent time with some of my closest blog friends, engaged with one of the world’s most well-loved brands, and got a new focus and vision for my blog.

These are just a few of the best pictures I got. I love these ladies! They are all extremely intelligent, hard working, funny, beautiful and I wish they all lived next door.

Clockwise from top-left picture: Me, Sharon (Sharon Blog), Amanda (High Impact Mom), Candy – local KC girl! (Mommypalooza), Crystal (Simply Being Mommy), and Jennifer (Baby Making Machine).

On the first day, one of my favorite activities was the vision board. Coca-Cola had tables full of brand new magazines, scrap book paper, stickers, glue sticks and scissors – then they let the mom bloggers loose on the supplies! We created inspiration/vision boards for either our blog or our personal life. I chose to create a vision board for my blog. I want to be fresh, bold. happy, honest, and a leader. I hope I can begin to build on these principles the rest of this year!

Megan Calhoun from Social Moms spoke to us as well!ย  She was so inspiring and led a very honest discussion about the struggle to balance work and family. She also introduced us to the idea of brand pillars. Brand pillars sum up the purpose of a brand. Social Moms exists to build up other mom bloggers. I decided the brand pillars of Mama Dweeb was, “Encouragement, Honesty, and Friendship.” I want to help moms grow in friendship!

Yeah, the food and drinks were fabulous! Did you expect anything less?

We all got to tour the World of Coca-Cola! If you are ever in Atlanta for any period of time, stop by this fun museum! The tours are educational, it has fun activities (the Vault really made me giggle) and when you get to the end, you get to taste all the different flavors from around the world. Taste the Beverly soda. You can thank me later!

On the last day we learned about Coca-Cola’s commitment to living well and improving America’s parks. We also discussed nutrition with the Coca-Cola dietician and learned about the Seagram’s brand. My table won some lovely Italian marble Seagram’s coasters cause our mixed drink was the most delicious. Thanks to Tree– our drink creator!

All in all, I had a blast! The kids were thrilled to have me home and I was so excited to be home. Thank you Coca-Cola for a memorable trip!

I’ll be updating this list with more links to the other blogger’s posts. No way could I ever cover everything from this trip, so if you want a well-rounded view of it, hop around and see what they took away from it all:

Do I really need a disclaimer? Well if I do, I’ll tell ya again that Coca-Cola flew us all down there and put us in a comfy little hotel room. And fed us. And all opinions remain my own.

What a great experience with a great brand! I don’t have a desire to go on all that many blogging trips, but this definitely would have interested me. I’m glad you had a great time and learned a lot!
