S’mores are one of my favorite things about Summer! I love those long, hot, Summer nights. Gathering around our tiny fire, my family makes memories that cannot be replaced. Like their first bike, first recital, a child will never forget their first experience roasting marshmallows over an open flame.
Slow Roaster – You are careful and take your time. You hold your marshmallow in the perfect spot far enough away from the flame that it will brown evenly and prevent scorching. In life, you are cautious and always gather facts before jumping into a project or to a conclusion. Your S’Mores are golden and delicious!
Fire ball – You live in the moment. You love adventure and if you can’t find a way to make an activity fun you just don’t do it. You are also known for looking for shortcuts and want to experience as much as you can in as short a time as you can. You stick your ‘mallow right in the heat of the flames and blow the fire out when it ignites. Your S’mores are crunchy and gooey.
I say this all in complete fun. My husband is a slow-roaster and made so much fun of me for always catching my ‘mallow on fire! But I love blowing out the flame and eating the charcoal! I just do.
HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE on Facebook is encouraging families to gather around the fire and spend time together. I love this idea! Check out the chatter and ideas over on the Facebook page. Any activity that involves quality family time and chocolate is a huge win in my book! As you roaster you marshmallows and eat your S’Mores, laugh about the ways you do it.
I tried to take a video of our family S’Mores night. The quality is awful. But the memories we made that night were so fun! Enjoy this little video:
And tell me – what kind of roaster are you?
