My family and I love sweet, fresh, salsa! The crunch of the salty tortilla chips. The sweet flesh of the mango oozing sugary juices. The bold cilantro and tart lemon and lime juices – all mix together to make an addicting and healthy snack.
This recipe has no added sugar – 100% all natural, clean ingredients! I love making recipes with mango because of the nutritional benefits of this amazing fruit. It has tons of vitamin C and vitamin A. Of course you can’t deny the fiber benefits too. It makes for a fun and delicious treat.
Here is the recipe for my fresh mango salsa!
*note: this has no kick to it. It is meant to be mild enough for children to eat. If you like spice, add jalapenos or hot sauce
- 1 mango, chopped
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 3 Tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Chop it all up and mix it all together! For best taste, let it chill overnight. Unless you are like my family and can’t resist to eat it right away!
How do you like to eat mango? What other fruits and veggies are your family’s favorites?

The National Mango Board challenged me to spend a week creating healthier eating and snacking habits for my family. Join the conversation and one of my readers will receive a cookbook and a chance to win a shipment of mangos and $200 gift card to Williams-Sonoma.
