Seventh Generation teamed up with Real Simple Magazine and has a super fun, generous and money-saving app on Facebook called the CleanHouse Challenge. Basically, you take a virtual tour of a house (on still photographs, no worries for slow connections!) and click the markers to discover tips, tricks, coupons, and valuable facts about our environment. For every person that completes the CleanHouse challenge, they will donate $10 (up to $15,000!) to, an environmental organization focused on solving the climate crisis.

You can also take the challenge via Real Simple magazine’s site at

I took the challenge and toured the house. I discovered a $.50 off coupon for their dishsoap – and did you know other dish soaps contain petroleum-based ingredients? I did not. Seventh Generation’s dish soap is made from mostly plant-based products which are (obviously) renewable and better for the environment. I used and loved the dish soap – it cleans just as well as my other products, and the lavender scent is so light and lovely!

I am so excited about the Cleanhouse challenge, not only for helping spread the word about how how we can be more responsible to our environment, but also how you can save money on these excellent products! It ends October 31st, so go take that fun tour before it is over.

One Mama Dweeb reader will win 2 of each product listed below – full retail value over $50!

  • Seventh Generation’’s three new specialty cleaners (Wood, Granite/Stone, and Stainless Steel)
  • The Hand Care Dish Liquid
  • The Natural Laundry Detergent Packs
