We got chickens in May and one of them is starting to lay eggs. It’s a lot of fun. We let them free range during the day and close em up at night…..That rooster looks so regal. Does he wake you up in the morning? πŸ˜‰

You bet he wakes us up, Kristi πŸ™‚ We actually have 4 roosters that crow (and 2 that only crow once in awhile) mornings are NOT quiet at my house LOL

You know they do, Janet! LOL!! I have 4 roosters that ALL crow. By now I’ve learned to tell them apart by their crow. it is so fun πŸ™‚

We had ducks in our backyard once and they were a lot of fun until winter hit and then they stopped being fun to my grandchildren because they had to take care of them. My niece and her family have chickens and they do get a lot of eggs from them.

  3. Maria Iemma says

When I was a child my Mom allowed me to raise chickens. I had a beautiful rooster named Pete too. Once we moved to the city they had to go to a friend’s farm – I was very sad.
