Are you as excited as I am about Spring? Finally!! NO MORE SNOW! We can start wearing new colors! Exchange the dark navy and deep browns for bright, happy shades like green, pink, and teal. The lengths shorten, the sleeves are less and layer with jackets to account for the changing Spring weather.
Since I am so thrilled about Spring fashion this week (you can check out my picks for Women’s Fashion here and Men’s Fashion on Friday) I thought why not do a post about child’s fashion too? Since I have 3 little children, I’m excited to do a Children’s 2014 Spring Fashion Trends post for you. I chose to partner with PeekKids for this post, picking out my favorites from their website. You can go and see all the new Spring 2014 arrivals at PeekKids for yourself! I’d love to know if your favorites were the same as mine or if something else stood out to you.
I love the pink and orange combos! One of my favorite things about children’s fashion is – there are no rules. All colors match all colors and the bolder the statement, the better. And with the Spring rains you can’t forget the rain boots. They really do go with any outfit. Just ask my daughters. Then, the spring rains bring new flowers, so bring those blooms to your clothes. Floral prints are definitely everywhere and I love how soft and feminine they are.
For boys, it is all about the blues and greens and oranges (ok, “rust”). Plaid is never out of fashion. Ever. It will always reign supreme in boy’s clothes. Plaid shirts, shorts and hats, it’s all there, all the time. And I love plaid! Tye-died clothes are also great for transitioning from spring to summer. There is something about tye-dye that just screams Summer – perhaps the image of going outside and dunking the shirts and shorts into the buckets of water…just such a summertime activity.
What do you think? What are your favorite picks for kid’s clothes?
