What? An Acer tablet? I must see this! I currently own an iPad mini and just received a Kindle Fire. In the past I’ve also owned a Motorola XOOM tablet and Samsung Galaxy Tab. Acer recently released their tablet – the Iconia Tab 8 – and I am so tempted to go check it out and see how it compares to everything I’ve owned before.
This is a sponsored post. All opinions are 100% my own. In fact, I really hope I am able to own or even review an Acer Tab 8 on loan just so I can play around with it. I love new technology (um, can you tell from the blog?)
Check out this video below. It’s a quick little one, and really shows off the tablet:
I’ve always depended on Acer to be priced below the competition. My first Netbook was an Acer and I loved that thing! This tablet is no different – starts out at only $159.99. From the video, I could tell it is light but has an impressive body (why did I feel dirty saying that? LOL). But when I heard him discuss the specs, I was definitely intrigued!
My favorite things about the Acer Iconia Tab:
- Intel CPU Inside provides optimal performance – I remember Intel as the chip that powered my laptops in college. That name brings to mind dependability and speed.
- Two speakers for a powerful audio experience – None of my tablets ever offered this. In fact, I bought an external bluetooth speaker set just so I could hear my music.
- Enjoy up to 7.5 hours of battery life – Enough said. This thing would last me all day without having to recharge it.
- A 1024×768 resolution Screen for sharp images – when it comes to screen resolution, numbers matter. The photos I take and the movies I watch will appear crisp.
And what I saw on the video was how wide the screen appeared to be. I bet with the wide viewing angle, YouTube and Netflix videos are way more fun to watch. And the design of this tablet is sleek and basic. It has a metal back which I bet makes it not only feel better but protects it from those times I’d inevitably drop it.
What do you think? Are you tempted to check out the Acer Iconia Tab?
