I am so honored to be partnering with GoodWorld for this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
I remember watching the Periscope. Someone from Greece was broadcasting live as Syrian refugees gathered on the streets to decide where they were going. Some resting after a long day of traveling. But what struck me the most were the volunteers in the navy blue Save The Children shirts. They were giving children coloring books and crayons and trying to share some light in an otherwise scary time.
Providing normalcy, and also water and food and other necessities.
More than anything, I realized Save The Children was on the ground, with the refugees where and when they were needed most. They were doing what I wanted so badly to do!
Since I cannot be in Greece, I am empowering Save the Children to continue to provide the services to the refugees.
