Parents, we use apps to track so many things – what we eat, how many calories we burn, how well we are sleeping.
Now, there is an app that helps you track things that might be triggering your depression. The Moodivator app compliments whatever you are doing to treat your depression by helping you set goals, track moods, and establish routines. I know personally how difficult it can be to motivate myself to set even simple goals and to discover my triggers when I am battling my depression. This app is a huge help.
Pfizer developed the Moodivator app in consultation with leading psychiatrists to help complement a patient’s treatment by providing ongoing motivation in a simple way for those living with depression.
The Moodivator app is a free, easy-to-use new tool designed to help motivate and encourage patients with depression, helping them to take a more active role in their treatment.

Fantastic Features of Moodivator App
You can create simple goals within the app. Then, set a “check-in” time. The app will notify you on check-in day and you can mark the status of the goal. I personally needed to be reminded daily since I tend to put personal-care goals at the bottom of my to-do list.
This is my favorite feature. Sometimes depression seemed to “sneak up” on me out of nowhere. In the Moodivator app, I can track my moods. There is a sliding scale with how high or low my mood is. Then, after I choose my location on the spectrum, a screen loads where I am able to write a note about why I feel that way.
This is a fantastic way to keep track of triggers and motivators. For example, I noticed when I forget to eat, my mood declines pretty radically!
Free iPhone App – Why Not?
I’ve been using and loving this app for a little while now. You can download the app for free and begin using it today. Just try it and see how helpful it is as you manage your depression. Then let me know what you think!
The Moodivator app is not a treatment for depression and does not take the place of your doctor’s care or advice. This app also includes information about a prescription treatment option for depression.
