Wordless Wednesday ~ Turkey Nest

Wordless Wednesday ~ Turkey Nest

We have a lot of wildlife around here and Josh noticed this Turkey nest while he was working on the garden.  Unfortunately after a few days he never saw the mother sitting on it.  These eggs were abandoned, but there are lots other Turkeys out there LOTS.

Well into the 2nd trimester

Well into the 2nd trimester

Other than my growing belly and frequent exhaustion I wouldn’t really know I was pregnant yet. Oh, my first trimester I had lots of nausea, exhaustion and moodiness but now that I have hit the second trimester I feel a lot better! I am able to get so much more accomplished due to a higher [...]

I am so excited! Josh sold the last two goats! We are now goat free! For those of you that have not followed the goat saga, here it is in a nutshell: About a year and a half ago, Josh wanted to buy goats to handle our weeds on our 20 acres of wilderness. They [...]

Wordless Wednesday ~ Family Photos

Wordless Wednesday ~ Family Photos

These were taken June 5th – but I finally got them edited and ready to share! Which is your favorite? I love the one of Lizzie, and isn’t her No Slippy Hair Clippy Clippette so cute? And that photo of all the adults: the three men are Josh and his two brothers. Then there is [...]

Breastfeeding is Painful

Breastfeeding is Painful

It infuriates me when a mother is made to feel like she is making decisions that will harm her child when she is doing all that is in her power to love, care for and nurture it. It also wrenches my gut when overwhelmed, brand new mothers are given outdated and worthless information that only [...]

First Steps on Father's Day!

First Steps on Father’s Day!

What a fabulous gift to give Daddy for Father’s Day! While Josh was building the deck outside our front door, David was in the hallway. He took his first steps (about 2 of them) for me and I led him to the living room and yelled at Josh to open the door. He did and [...]

Wordless Wednesday - Boy needs a bath

Wordless Wednesday – Boy needs a bath

It has rained a lot in the last few days. Like we are in a flash flood warning types of rain. And the other day while Josh was working on our deck, David joined him outside. You better believe he found the huge piles of dirt – now mud – and had a BLAST! That [...]
