Josh has a few pairs of pink socks. It happens. I even have 3 baskets set up so he can keep his white socks separated from the rest of the clothes easier. But somehow a pink shirt or red sock makes it into the white basket.

Say hello to my little friend!

This little white packet goes into the washing machine with my load clothes. My whites stay white. I don’t have to go through the white loads of clothes piece by stinking piece for fear of missing that one thing that will ruin the entire load.

It literally catches any dye that might run in the machine. The dye goes onto the color catcher and not on my white clothes! It is magic I tell ya. I don’t understand how it works exactly, I just know it does.

I get so frustrated when I try to keep the laundry separated but underwear and shirts fall into the white basket. All I want to do is shovel dirty laundry into my machine by the armfuls. Plus, David is trying to help with chores now (yay!). Shout color catcher with Oxi is a powerful little weapon that saves me time and sanity. David can throw clothes in the wash no matter what color they are. I don’t have to pick through my whites to catch every single dyed cloth.

Sunshine Kids carseats changed their name to Diono effective September 1, 2011.  This was made as the company grew globally. The Radian car seat is still the same safe, dependable, tested and trusted seat it was under the name Sunshine Kids.

Lizzie has used the Sunshine Kids Radian since she was 2 years old.  She is currently 4 years old, 37 pounds and still fits in the 5 point harness according to safety standards and belt height.

To say I love Diono car seats is an understatement! My Sunshine Kids radian is still my favorite seat to use and I know this Diono radian is the same in many ways and my new favorite seat – only because it is newer and not worn in yet.

My favorite features are:

Slim Design – it fits in my husband’s truck perfectly.

Side Impact – Lizzie calls them her pillows and blame them for her falling asleep in the car. I know that they have gone through testing and make me feel safer.

Long rear facing limit – I keep my kids rear facing as long as possible. It has a rear-facing weight limit of 45 pounds! Talk about peace of mind! Extended rear facing is the safest option and I keep my kids rear facing until the limit of the seat. David is under 30 lbs and has a ways to go before he has to be turned front facing.

Long Forward Facing 5 pt harness limit – Kids can stay harnessed up to 65 pounds or until their shoulders go above the tallest slot. Lizzie is currently an inch below the tallest slot, so our time is ticking. But after that it can be used as a high back booster. She can stay in the high back booster mode up to 120 pounds! (note: children can safely sit without a booster when the can sit on the seat with the back against the seat and knees reach the edge and when they are mature enough not to put the seat belt behind their head.)

It is the most fun time ever! I fell in love with Josh while we were dating because he had a massive collection of board games and we bonded over Scrabble. To this day it is still our number one favorite game.

Now that we have kids, our board game collection is expanding. In addition to Munchkin, Scrabble, Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit we have Chutes and Ladders and High Ho Cherry O!
