This post is written by my good friend Audrey! She blogs at Motherly Misadventures – check out her blog! Well, she gave her kids a blind taste test with the new KRAFT Milk Bites and shares her story below.

When I walked in the door with several boxes of cereal bars, I had more then enough volunteer taste testers. I brought 2 varieties of chocolate, one Milk Bite and the other a Kashi. I also had 2 varieties of strawberry, one Milk Bite and the other a very similar looking yogurt dipped Quaker granola bar.

Now don’t be mistaken my test subjects took their job VERY seriously!

The one thing that stood out the most was how “smooth and creamy” the Milk Bite bars were. They really melted in our mouths. I was even more surprised that this, chocolate in particular, was the absolute favorite of ALL of us! I think it tasted like a chocolate chip cookie with a small swig of milk. Which is about as good as it gets around our house.

Another thing I really like about the Kraft Milk Bite granola bars is that they have as much Calcium and Vitamin D as a full serving of milk! This may excite you if you have a picky eater like mine, that will only drink milk when it’s loaded with chocolate. They are also a good source of fiber and not over loaded with sugar. These granola bars are something I can feel good about giving my family, and a real time saver when we are running late in the mornings.

So give them a try. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

My challenge: To make a weeknight meal special. The rules: I only have one hour to prepare. I accepted this challenge because honestly, that is longer than I usually spend in the kitchen anyways!

Most weeknights Josh works late, getting home around 8 or 9pm.  So it is just me and my 4yo, 2.5 year old and 13 month old. I always try to make dinner special, but they don’t eat very much and I tend to lose my inspiration on really hectic days.

Not this time.

We purchased the Tuscan Beef and Vegetable soup from Bertolli in the freezer section. Only takes 10 minutes to make a full and healthy meal! Now, how will I make this special?

Be still my heart!

My favorite little man bought me a dozen yellow roses!  Nothing makes a meal more special than flower picked out just for you as the centerpiece!  I took David to the florist section of the store and let him pick out anything he wanted for me.  After I nixed the Spiderman balloon request, (I am so cruel) his eyes lit up when he saw the “ye-woh” flowers.  I will cherish this photo forever!

Then I just opened the bag and cooked the soup on the stove. It was amazingly delicious! Just look at the chunks of veggies!  I read the back of the bag and was impressed with the ingredients. Real food! No crazy preservatives or food colorings. Just tender beef, mushrooms, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots and celery with bowtie pasta in a savory broth. It was scrumptious and filling.

Then afterwards we celebrated with ice cream! I never buy ice cream anymore, so this treat really made the dinner special for us.

I should really do this more often.  One bag is about $7.  Two bags fed my entire family – including Josh and I – with a few leftovers. $14 is not a bad price to pay for a healthy dinner.

I have pictures on Instagram, iPhoto, Photobucket and Shutterfly, just to name a few.  Uploading pictures from these sites is super quick and super easy.

I think my favorite feature of ZangZing is how easy it is to upload my Instagram pictures. For the life of me I could never figure out how to upload my instagram pictures to my computer easily. The only way I found was to plug my phone into my computer and upload them to iPhoto then upload them to Shutterfly. This is one easy click, one easy step. I adore simplicity!

Josh has a few pairs of pink socks. It happens. I even have 3 baskets set up so he can keep his white socks separated from the rest of the clothes easier. But somehow a pink shirt or red sock makes it into the white basket.

Say hello to my little friend!

This little white packet goes into the washing machine with my load clothes. My whites stay white. I don’t have to go through the white loads of clothes piece by stinking piece for fear of missing that one thing that will ruin the entire load.

It literally catches any dye that might run in the machine. The dye goes onto the color catcher and not on my white clothes! It is magic I tell ya. I don’t understand how it works exactly, I just know it does.

I get so frustrated when I try to keep the laundry separated but underwear and shirts fall into the white basket. All I want to do is shovel dirty laundry into my machine by the armfuls. Plus, David is trying to help with chores now (yay!). Shout color catcher with Oxi is a powerful little weapon that saves me time and sanity. David can throw clothes in the wash no matter what color they are. I don’t have to pick through my whites to catch every single dyed cloth.

I love saving money. Washing in hot water uses my electricity and increases my bills every month.  Up until recently I used other formulas and just chose the hottest setting on my machine – especially for my white clothes.

I can use it on my whites and they are bright white! I use it on my colors and they are bright colors!

Ok, maybe I am getting a tad too excited over laundry detergent. But Tide is my favorite scent of all. And saving money with my yummy smelling Tide makes me wanna bust out the exclamation points all over this blog.

My clothes look amazing and my energy bill is lower. I’m saving around 50% on each load. Can’t beat that!

Omega-3 and vitamin infused water. Omega water is delicious, comes in bright, cheery (and Eco-friendly recycled) bottles, and is totally good for you.

Omega-3 is basically brain vitamins. It is a fatty acid that helps with brain function. EPA/DHA are the most common kinds of Omega and helps with brain, eyes and nerve development and health.

I am glad they called it Omega water and not Fatty Acid water. Aren’t you? Probably wouldn’t go over too well. Kidding aside, this water is full of other nutrients too.  It has Vitamin C, E, B6, B12 and Niacin. We all know Vitamin C supports your immune system but I just learned the other day that Vitamin B6 and B12 help with energy levels.  I need to buy more Omega water because I noticed an increase in energy and productivity after drinking at least 1 full bottle a day.

That is my experience, you might not have the same, but who knows! These vitamins are good for you, so they can only help, right?

Oh and one more thing I thought was totally amazing about this water – they use a cold water filtration/purification method as opposed to hot water. This is their way of taking care of the planet and using less energy. Their water bottles also use less plastic and the manufacturing plant where OmegaWater ™ is made recycles leftover plastic and other refuse in an effort to be kind to the planet.

Fit to Flick makes adorable hats that have a small opening in the back you can “flick” your ponytails through.  Up until now, only baseball caps could do this. And since they are knit hats, you can put little flower clips and bows on the hat to make them go with even more outfits.

I wanted to review this hat because I love their design. I also wanted a new hat. Sadly, my hair is barely long enough to hold a ponytail very well. I tried to take a picture of my ponytail in this hat but it simply wasn’t all that cute. So here are a few pictures from their model on their site. If you have long hair, these hats are a must-have for your winter and spring wardrobe!

Above is the Swope hat – the same one I am modeling in brown.  As you can tell it has a cute little fold that gives it personality and style. It is also ridiculously comfortable. I wear it all the time.

When I was choosing a hat to review I really wanted this one too. It is the Laura Hat. I love the thick knitting rows, the color and just how cute it is! Again, how fun is it that you can put your ponytail through the hat like this?All their hats are reasonably priced at around $35 each.

They have a bunch of other styles too. They have pretty colors and even some silk scarf hats.  I’d love for you to check out their site and come back and tell me which ones you liked! Sunshine Kids carseats changed their name to Diono effective September 1, 2011.  This was made as the company grew globally. The Radian car seat is still the same safe, dependable, tested and trusted seat it was under the name Sunshine Kids.

Lizzie has used the Sunshine Kids Radian since she was 2 years old.  She is currently 4 years old, 37 pounds and still fits in the 5 point harness according to safety standards and belt height.

To say I love Diono car seats is an understatement! My Sunshine Kids radian is still my favorite seat to use and I know this Diono radian is the same in many ways and my new favorite seat – only because it is newer and not worn in yet.

My favorite features are:

Slim Design – it fits in my husband’s truck perfectly.

Side Impact – Lizzie calls them her pillows and blame them for her falling asleep in the car. I know that they have gone through testing and make me feel safer.

Long rear facing limit – I keep my kids rear facing as long as possible. It has a rear-facing weight limit of 45 pounds! Talk about peace of mind! Extended rear facing is the safest option and I keep my kids rear facing until the limit of the seat. David is under 30 lbs and has a ways to go before he has to be turned front facing.

Long Forward Facing 5 pt harness limit – Kids can stay harnessed up to 65 pounds or until their shoulders go above the tallest slot. Lizzie is currently an inch below the tallest slot, so our time is ticking. But after that it can be used as a high back booster. She can stay in the high back booster mode up to 120 pounds! (note: children can safely sit without a booster when the can sit on the seat with the back against the seat and knees reach the edge and when they are mature enough not to put the seat belt behind their head.)

Yes, Shout Free does work! I tested this out on Lucy’s diaper stain. You can thank me for not taking a lovely photo of that mess. I squirted some Shout Free on her jumper and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then I threw it in the wash. Best part is I didn’t have to worry about the water temp – it works in any temperature water!
