Can you believe it has been 50 years since the opening of Silver Dollar City?  While I have not been there personally, I did see an episode of 18 Kids and Counting where the Duggar family visited and it looks like so much fun!  I love the blacksmiths and craft shops, and the people dressed in old time costumes adds to the old time atmosphere.

To celebrate with them, here is a sample itinerary of what I would do!

• I would arrive in the afternoon, get settled in the super nice Hilton and then get dressed for a Dinner Show!
• They have so many live dinner shows to chose from, but I have been on the Showboat Branson Belle before and highly recommend that one!
• After a good night’s rest (ha!) I would grab a quick breakfast from my hotel and then head on out to a morning show around 10am. Talk about a fun way to start you day!
• Then with a great burst of energy from the show I would head on out to do some shopping until lunch.
• Lunch would be fabulous at the plethora of fine restaurants in Branson! I personally want to try the Candlestick Inn, I hear the view is breathtaking.
• With a full stomach I’d head out to Silver Dollar City for an afternoon of family fun! There are lots of attractions and rides, sure to please everyone.

Of course you can mix it up, but that is just a taste of what I’d want to do in Branson.

Branson Missouri is a super fun place to visit and conveniently located for all my Midwestern friends!

I’ll admit, the midwest is no France, Italy, or even New York City.  But we have Branson, Missouri and I am very proud to claim that as our entertainment capital.  With Valentine’s Day drawing oh so close it is time to start thinking about were to take a romantic trip to.  And if you live close enough to Branson to drive, then take advantage of some of the amazing romantic packages available from the Hilton hotel there!

I visited Branson once and I really want to go back!  I loved how there was always another amazing show to see and delicious food to eat. The atmosphere is so alive and fun! I can just feel the buzz in the air this Valentine’s Day – the restraunts all decked out in red, white and pink, the live shows singing songs of adoration and the giftshops alive with roses and chocolates.

The attractions that I want to see in Branson is quite honestly the shopping!  I want to pay a visit to the Tanger Outlet mall-can you say discount?  Sure I’d like to see a live show and all but shopping is so much fun!  Oh, and I would also love to take Lizzie to Silver Dollar City. I saw the Duggars take their family there and it looks like super fun!

I have only stayed at smaller hotels, but after looking at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel I am convinced I have stayed at second rate places.  A hotel is more than a place to lay your head for the night – you have to look at location, customer service and amenities, all of which the Hilton rates high up top!

Right now at the Hilton Branson Convention Center they have a romance package!  It is a super sweet deal. It offers early check in, wine in your room, access to the spa and a full American breakfast in your room!  Seriously, sign me up right now.

So, if I were to go to Branson, say, tomorrow (which I’d totally love to do!) I would:

• get to the Hilton Branson Landing and check in.
• Go eat dinner at Lamberts (where they thrown the rolls! So much fun!)
• Go see a live show
• Next morning:: Wake up and eat a full delicious breakfast in my room
• Shopping!
• Lunch at any of the amazing restraunts in Branson
• Race Josh on the Go-Carts (gotta have some fun, right?)
• Another live show

That is just a sample of what you could do in Branson!

I live super close to Branson Missouri and I sure don’t take advantage of the proximity. For a person that loves live music only having been to Branson once is pretty unfortunate.
