Now that you have read about my personal thoughts on the Global Resort Homes condos and seen my pictures I am going to give you all the information you need to book your stay with Global Resort Homes in Orlando. Price:

This changes according to the season. Right now a 3 bedroom condo is around $172 a night (not including taxes). Seriously – divide that by 6 adults, that is only $28 a night each!

Or you can stay in a lavish home located in a gated community. Right now a 4 bedroom house with private pool is $240 a night!

I stayed in a fabulous 3 bedroom condo, but they have anything from a 2 bedroom condo up to 6 bedroom homes. Yes, you can stay in a 6 bedroom gorgeously decorated house – and it isn’t like a time share, you just pay for the length of your stay. Just check out the pictures of these opulent homes!

These are in gated communities – and that boasts of safety, privacy and total relaxation.

All of their homes come with optional housekeeping (for a fee of course). So if you want to spend all day at Disney World and come home to a clean house, then your wish will be granted!

This photo says it all – a vacation is so much more fun when you rent a condo or house from Global Resort Homes!

This is the 2nd part in my 3 part review of Global Resort Homes. If you missed it, part one can be found HERE. In my first part I summarized why staying in a condo was much more enjoyable for me than staying in a hotel room. I had hardly any photos and asked for some questions. This part of the review will answer the questions and show you a peek into my condo.

The kitchen is beautiful! Yes, it was on the smaller side, but what do you expect from a condo? It was still larger by a landslide than any “kitchenette” you will find in a hotel suite. I loved the stainless steel appliances – they kicked my kitchen’s butt! Global Resort Homes made sure to stock the kitchen with any appliance you might need – blender, toaster, coffee maker. And it came filled with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, towels and even dishwasher detergent. I enjoyed buying breakfast food and eating a healthy breakfast the way I like it, not having to deal with what some hotels call “breakfast.”

Look!! I could have traveled with my cloth diapers – free washer and dryer! I think I was more excited about this than any other feature of the condo. Seriously – and they even included a sample of detergent. Not that you would need it – there is a Publix grocery store right behind the condo.

The table was all beautifully set and waiting for me as I entered the condo. I don’t even set my table this nice at home. And I love the arches – they reminded me of home since I have lots of arches in my living room too. I suppose if you have 6 adults staying in the condo you can’t all sit down and eat at the table together, but there is a wonderful living room behind me with a very large coffee table, so no worries!

And the view from the balcony. Palm trees and a sunset, breathtaking. My father in law enjoys waking up super early and sitting outside at home to have his devotion time with God. He hasn’t been doing that lately because of the freezing temps and he was so happy to be able to do it here in Florida. He told me it was really relaxing to just sit out there and listen to the hum of cars on the highway. “It is a constant hum, almost melodic,” he said. Definitely a change from the crickets and birds you hear on our porch in Kansas!

Not pictured: The bedroom with 2 twin beds, father in law’s bedroom with 1 full bed, the full bathroom and master bathroom. But they were all decorated warmly and very inviting.

Now for the questions:

Eve wanted to know if it was stocked with books and things.
Nope! It had all the essentials – hair dryer, iron, tvs in every bedroom and free internet. But no books or movies.

Tammy asked if there was a deposit.
Tara from Global Resort Homes answered that one in the original post, and the answer was “not a security deposit.” There is a deposit required but it goes to the total for your room, it isn’t a non-refundable security deposit like in other places.

For a vacation should you rent a condo or pay for a hotel room? I hope I can help answer that question for you. This is part one of a large review. I have many photos to share with you and ideally I would put photos and post together but this is not my computer and so putting up all the pictures is going to take some time. But I really want to write about my stay in the condo so far!

I have stayed in many hotels – Hawaii, Italy and all across Kansas. No matter where I go they all end up the same – even the hotel suites are basically a hotel room with a mini fridge, sink and microwave. But when I entered the condo I felt like I could actually relax on my vacation.

David liked it too! He was so happy and relaxed when we got here – and he has so much room to crawl and explore!

It has such a home like atmosphere that I caught myself saying “I’m going to run home real quick and grab the camera,” when referring to the condo. You don’t have to worry about anything while you are staying here. Stain your clothes? Wash them for free in the washer/dryer! Hungry and on a budget? Walk to the Publix grocery store and make your meal! Wanna just relax and watch TV? There is one in every bedroom.

You can save so much money by renting a condo vs. paying for a hotel room. Make your own food – that saves a ton of money right there! Also, I love the peacefullness and solitude of the condo. I haven’t heard people running up and down the hall or noises from all around me.

I didn’t have to deal with my room not being booked or the service being awful – in fact Global Resort Homes has been fantastic to work with. I had a very difficult time finding the condo, thanks to mapquest and google maps telling us to turn on a road that doesn’t have a name. But I called the property manager and she was so helpful. I also love that the condos are in a gated community – talk about safety and security!

I just wanted to add that had I read the brochure they sent me I would have had directions to my condo from the airport. Very precise and clear directions. But I didn’t – so read your papers

This is not a timeshare thing – you pay for your condo just like a hotel. And for an extra fee you can have housekeeping service just like in the hotel. I chose not to have that since it is just my father in law, me and my baby boy on the trip.

Another benefit of renting a condo on vacation is how many more people you can comfortably sleep in one. Global Resort Homes also has up to 6 bedroom vacation houses to rent too! For the 3 bedroom condo I am in right now you could easily have 6 people stay. There is a master bedroom with private bathroom, a bedroom with 2 twin beds, the third room has a queen and there is a 2nd full bathroom. I am staying in the condo with my father in law right now and we only see each other at the breakfast table since I have the master bedroom and bathroom. I love that privacy!

PRICE! Price is very important when making a decision about where to stay. The three bedroom condo I am in right now is about $180 a night. For three bedrooms! The Ramada hotel for the same amount of adults as my condo fits comfortably – six – is $108 per night. (I priced Ramada hotel for 2 separate rooms to give the same privacy I have here). Ramada is one of the cheapest I could find and there are hotels running much higher without the same amount of privacy as this condo.
