Standing up and eating table food

by Annie @ Mama Dweeb on October 3, 2011

Lucy is 9.5 months old! Do you remember this teeny face?

Now she is standing up, almost ready to walk, cruising along furniture and eating whatever table food we give her.

I am so proud of her and she is overly loved by her older brother and sister.  She has daddy wrapped around her little finger and her fat smiles can brighten up the most depressing days.

David makes her laugh the most – sometimes more than I do! All he has to do is jump around, literally just jump and Lucy will gut laugh.  I live for these moments!  Lizzie is ever the doting big sister. She is always trying to pick her up, but Lucy is just too heavy and I swear every single time she ends up just pulling her down.  One of these days she’ll get it – she won’t stop trying until she does.

All her hair is on the top and back of her head. I don’t think she has grown any length in the front since she was born! I am guessing she will have thick, dark hair like her daddy. Lizzie inherited my fine blonde locks (lucky her, right?)

I sit and pause, staring at her round cheeks and growing teeth (she has 4 with four more coming in).  As I caress her dimples in her knees, knuckles and elbows I pray that she halts the growing up for just one night more.

They do seem to get big so quickly don’t they? Next thing you know, you’ll be putting pigtails in her hair and sending her off to school.

She is one beautiful baby! And yes, everyone seems to grow so fast. I’m turning 20 in a few weeks, and I am absolutely dreading that two whole decades of my life are over. I would give almost anything to be 10 years old again.

So precious! It is amazing how quickly times goes by, especially with second and third children. It seems like one moment they are newborns and the next they are walking!

I think time goes by faster with each child. David used to be my baby boy and now he’s this nearly-potty trained big boy. Where did time go? He’s growing up so much and I adore it.

I know what you mean about the sibling just being able to simply jump.. or just “appear” for the laughter to start. It’s the same in my house.

What kind of table food are you giving her? My son is just starting to eat foods and I’m wondering where to start.

She is such a beautiful little girl! Isn’t it strange how fast they grow? My oldest is turning five this month and I am just at a loss as to how it happened so fast!

My 4 year old had a mullett until she was two! And my now almost one year old still does not have any teeth! (although I’m kind of happy about that)
